There's always those days where the air is cold—possibly raining—and all you want is just to curl up in your bed and cry. Paired with emotional music and heart-breaking lyrics, you're already good to go.
Sleeping At Last is probably one of those musicians who makereallygood music. You would probably know Sleeping At Last, the stage name of singer-songwriter, producer, and composer Ryan O'Neal, as the artist of “Turning Page”, one of the songs featured on the soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, but he's truthfully more than that.
He has recently completed a series of EPs and singles called Atlas: Year One, and every song inside that exact series is a gem. They represent our world's elements: the space, land, oceans, light, and the darkness. Every song is amazing, but the best is probably the EPs that represent the skies above us: Space I and Space II. Sleeping At Last's voice can be both haunting or soothing, and the combination of the instruments suit each other well. The music is pretty darn melancholic and amazing, and ohthe lyrics. It tugs heartstrings, with that rawness in its words.
A personal favorite are these few lines from Saturn from Space II: “with shortness of breath, you explained the infinite / how rare and beautiful it is to even exist”.
Some tracks are heartbreaking; some are uplifting; the possibilities are endless with Sleeping at Last's music. Just pick one, kick back, and relax as his music guides you to tranquility.
